Career/education- I find many forms of education to be dogmatic and detrimental to the intuitive or creative process. I feel similarly about career paths. As institutions, I find that both predominantly impair the individual’s path.
What is a perfect Sunday for you?
In this order: having sex, drinking tea, walking dogs, eating brunch, walking around a new place, collecting items for dinner, go home, cook a feast, drink wine, watch a Western.
Have you ever cheated? Whom did you cheat on and/or what did you?
On my first two boyfriends, and on one this summer. Sometimes I fill up a bag of organic raw almonds at the Whole Foods bulk section and price it as regular almonds. That’s about as racy as I get these days.
Having lived in cities, what impact do you think cities have on individuals?
I think for certain personality types, living in a city is crucial because it fosters creativity and progressive perspectives. A main reason why I don’t enjoy living in cities is that I feel as if I’m living in a somewhat fabricated existence, largely cut off from the indicators of seasonal life. I believe that city living can create an ability to tune out one’s surroundings.
As a raw foods chef, how do your food choices affect your body and health?
I believe that raw food works medicinally for people whose bodies bear the effects of a life steeped in either toxic materials or toxic emotions. However, there are surely people who are able to consume the most rancid
